About AquaNV, LLC

AquaNV is a small civil engineering firm based in Carson City, Nevada focusing on water distribution systems, hydraulic design and modeling, system planning, optimization and maintenance, capital improvements and feasibility studies.

AquaNV was formed when it’s founder, Tom Grundy, P.E. recognized a need for a small, nimble, local firm capable of tackling small to medium projects.

Tom spent 20 years working in the public sector, focusing his career on municipal water systems, hydraulic modeling, water system design, land development, capital projects and project permitting. During that time, he saw many things that worked, some that didn’t, and learned ways to avoid many pitfalls and delays common in the industry.  

For the last 4 years of his public sector work, Tom focused on the operations side, gaining knowledge on the difference between what works in theory and what functions long term in the field. During that time, he became adept at developing solutions to many problems water systems frequently encounter.

Tom is a licensed civil engineer and water rights surveyor in the State of Nevada and holds Nevada D4 and T3 water system operator certifications. He has been fascinated with water in motion his entire life.
